an old cowboy

I have been told that a picture is worth a thousand words but what about the living version of the photograph? This old cowboy has stopped me before and I've found myself wondering what type of life has he lived? What stories have etched themselves in the lined and weathered face that smiled so warmly and so welcomingly at me. What was his life like? what is his life like now? I think one day I will ask him.
